Learning to Accept & Love Yourself
Lyne's inspiring story of recovery of addiction only came about when she learned to accept and love herself. She has been drug free for about 9 years, but it was not until about 2 years ago when she finally surrendered her weapons of mass destruction and picked up acceptance instead. Trying to battle and destroy the monster that was her addiction left her exhausted. Lyne is an author who loves writing, and a speaker who enjoys speaking to groups. So she has accepted that addiction is only a small part of her. She had to stop the self hate and the little voice in her head that said you are not smart or good enough. The past no longer confines or dictates her presence, and she knows there is a higher power watching over us all. We are all amazing people who are capable of doing so much, and there is a purpose to our life. She encourages us all to look in the mirror and start with saying "I like you." Each day look in the mirror and say something kind to yourself and you can watch your life transform. You are the most important relationship in your life, and in order to give to others you have to save and love yourself first.
